Why People and Companies Work With Me

01

Safety and Acceptance Without Judgment Come First

Lasting change happens when we feel unconditionally accepted. Only then can the nervous system relax and the mind function healthily and effectively again.

02

Beyond Symptoms: Uncovering Root Causes and Finding Lasting Relief

Stress, tension, emotions, difficult states, and mental health issues do not happen only in the head. Intellectual understanding of the problem is not enough. I help clients uncover the root causes of their struggles, teaching them how to tune into their body’s signals and develop healthy emotional regulation.

My Services

I use my unique combination of knowledge, skills, and experience in the following formats:

01

For Leaders, Founders & C-suite: Confidential Consultancy. Exclusive and discreet cooperation.

I serve as a Confidential Advisor to C-suite leaders, founders, investors, and public figures. My focus is on helping high-performers navigate the pressure of high-stakes roles without sacrificing their health. Through a neurosomatic approach, I guide clients to shift from ‘survival mode’ (fight/flight) to sustainable inner stability and clarity. All work is conducted with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.

More information

What you will gain:

You will learn to “reset” your functioning not only at the level of thoughts but also at the level of physiology and the nervous system. When the body is locked in survival mode (fight, flight, or functional freeze), executive function and rational decision-making are compromised. I will guide you through a comprehensive reset to achieve:

  • Executive Presence: The ability to withstand pressure with calm and decide with a clear head, even when chaos reigns around you.
  • Sustainable Performance: Burnout prevention not through passive rest, but through a change in internal settings and stress regulation.
  • Psychological Safety: Actionable tools to lead your team in a way that bypasses their unconscious childhood settings and instead unlocks their full potential and creativity.
  • Know-how: Methodology based on somatic coaching, modern neuroscience, and an approach inspired by Dr. Gabor Maté.

Who is it for:

This program is designed for leaders, managers and any other high-stakes individuals, who understand that long-term growth is built on sound mental health and a sense of safety, not on pressure to perform and self-destruction.

It is for you if:

  • You feel you are “running on empty” and coffee no longer works.
  • You find yourself exploding at meetings without knowing why, or you feel you must disconnect from emotions to be effective (neuroscience says otherwise).
  • You want to be an inspiring leader with natural authority and vision without sacrificing your health or the health of your subordinates.
  • You are looking for a way to prevent burnout in yourself and colleagues.
  • You need a safe space to drop the facade of the invincible leader, decompress, and process your challenges confidentially.

What our cooperation looks like?

Cooperation can take the form of private individual sessions in person (at your office or home / in my office) and/or  online. Alternatively, an intense off-site retreat for a deep dive can be organized.

Key Topics:

Stress management, burnout prevention, work-life balance, psychological safety in the workplace, emotional intelligence, neuro-optimization… other topics can be tailored to your wishes.

Goal:

To provide immediately actionable tools alongside sophisticated guidance, sparking profound personal and professional transformation that goes far beneath the surface of conventional management techniques.

Retreats and Workshops for those, who lead: Psychosomatics, Trauma & Compassionate Inquiry

What I learned from Gabor Maté, or experience transformative psychosomatic work firsthand. How to introduce neurosomatics and the quality of non-judgmental compassion—which heals but does not exhaust—into your life and practice with clients.

Current Event:

Neuro-somatic retreat Architecture of the SELF.

More Information

What you will gain:

It’s not just about theory, but about experience in your own body. You will take away:

  • Live Tools: Demonstrations of the Compassionate Inquiry approach and somatic coaching that you can incorporate into your work.
  • Deep Insight: The ability to see beneath the surface of words and behavior and uncover the unconscious dynamics driving our lives.
  • Regulation and Prevention: Modern techniques for preventing stress and burnout – for yourself and others.
  • (Self)Leadership: Development of authentic self-leadership for conscious decision-making and the ethical application of compassionate truth (truth hurts, but when confronted compassionately, it heals).
  • Compassion of Truth: Adopting a compassionate approach in your practice and for yourself. The five levels of compassion according to Gabor Maté. True compassion does not exhaust; it heals.

Who is it for:

Primarily for therapists, psychologists, doctors, coaches, and other helping professions who wish to integrate a psychosomatic and trauma-informed approach into their practice, learn how to prevent burnout, regulate stress and emotions, and understand the interconnection of the psyche, nervous system, mind, and body. However, the lay public with an interest in deep self-development and understanding psychosomatics is also welcome.

Additional Information:

A Unique Approach. This is an intensive and scientifically grounded deep dive into the human psyche, personality, our inner experience, and the process of change and healing. I draw inspiration from the innovative and effective psychotherapeutic approach of Compassionate Inquiry® by the globally renowned Dr. Gabor Maté, which I integrate into somatic coaching.

The program is firmly rooted in professional expertise and science. It combines insights from psychosomatic therapy, trauma-informed approaches, somatic coaching, neurobiology, and developmental psychology.

Individual Sessions: Compassionate Inquiry® or Somatic Coaching

Subject to availability, I offer therapeutic sessions based on Dr. Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry approach. Please contact me to inquire about current openings.

More Information

 What you will gain:

A path from being stuck and internal struggle to relief, freedom, and resilience. So that your days stop being about suffering and surviving, and you can start truly living them again. Relief, clarity, calm, joy, efficiency, focus, healthier relationships, aliveness, the ability to handle difficult states and situations, decision-making skills – simply put, authenticity.

How it works:

Deep work that helps you understand your emotions, the dynamics of your subconscious, and the functioning of your nervous system. Psychosomatic work directly during sessions is what changes perception and unconscious patterns.

How does change and healing occur?

  • Deep Understanding: We uncover the unconscious dynamics and limiting beliefs that still drive your life, relationships, and health today. What beliefs do we often hold? “I am a bad person.” “I am incompetent.” “I am a burden.” “I am not worthy of love.” And many others…
  • Nervous System Regulation: We learn to safely experience and release suppressed emotions and regulate them. Change ceases to be an effort of will and happens in a natural process of gradual release.
  • Neuroplasticity: The brain builds new connections. You will experience difficult emotions suppressed in the past within my safe “holding.” Thanks to neuroplasticity, this allows the brain to build new connections, forge new paths, and reevaluate old limiting beliefs.
  • Corrective Relational Experience: The desired therapeutic change (i.e., a shift in perception of oneself and problems) happens thanks to a safe therapeutic relationship. But what also enables experiencing the difficult past newly and differently is your own “re-parenting” of the wounded child within.
  • Returns to the Past: We examine its impact on the here and now. The goal is to recognize old defense mechanisms (which no longer serve you) and, with compassion, let them weaken and fade away.
  • Somatic Deep Dive: This is not conventional talk therapy. Together, we explore unconscious mechanisms – what we had to believe and who we had to become to protect ourselves from pain long ago.

Who is it for:

For anyone who feels dissatisfied, incompetent, stuck – whether in work or personal life – in anxiety, dysfunctional relationships, addictions, or feelings of inadequacy, futility, emptiness, depression. It is for you if you want to go beneath the surface of symptoms and are looking for lasting change, not just temporary relief.

Therapy and coaching are intended for clients over 18 years old (exceptionally, I work with younger clients upon agreement).

Format: I offer in-person meetings and online consultations.

Where to find me: Maitrea, Týnská ulička 6, Prague 1, bell Terapie V, VI, VII, 2nd floor.

3 Principles of Our Work Together (Is This Right For You?)

It’s not about performance or quick fixes, but the willingness to enter the process of change and not place unrealistic demands on oneself.

You are looking for the cause, not just a band-aid.

Our cooperation is for those who no longer want to just extinguish symptoms (burnout, anxiety, team conflicts) but want to understand what is happening beneath the surface. Do not expect instant “esoteric” manuals or managerial maxims. Together we will go to the roots – where the dynamics of nervous system functioning are stored, influencing mental well-being, a sense of purpose, and psychological safety in the team.

You want to feel and experience, not just "understand with your head.

Intellectual understanding of the problem is not enough – you probably already know all the maxims and strategies. True change and resilience take place in the body, at the level of the nervous system and what we discover in the subconscious mind. Cooperation makes sense if you are willing to slow down and learn to perceive the signals of your nervous system (stress, emotions, intuition), even if it may be unusual and difficult at first. We work with experience, not just the rational mind.

You are willing to drop the mask.

In my space, there is no “bad” emotion or thought, nor the necessity to wear the mask of a professional who “handles everything.” I welcome what is often hidden in everyday life or business – uncertainty, anger, helplessness, or anxiety. We understand them as signals that need attention, not as mistakes. Instead of fighting them, we learn to integrate them so you can live and be there for others fully and authentically.

Do you feel that I could be a support for you?

Who Will Guide You

From Journalist and Manager to Therapist. My Story of Finding Balance.

From my own experience, I know the “drive to succeed,” the effort to please, and the price we pay for them. I have traveled the path from success and adrenaline in media, on missions, and in the corporate world, through my own rock bottom, to a deep understanding of the human soul and work as a therapist. Today I bridge both worlds, because in both, one can live authentically and healthily, without masks, in joy and abundance.

For a long time, I lived with the belief that a person’s value is measured by their performance – adrenaline, deadlines, and risk-taking behavior were my fuel. As a journalist, an election observer in post-conflict countries, and a corporate manager, I managed the impossible and the dangerous and functioned perfectly on the outside. But inside, I felt tension, anxiety, and emptiness. Eventually, alcohol and antidepressants were added to the aforementioned fuels.

I had a need to understand why this was happening to me, and to change it. Thanks to great teachers and training in various therapeutic modalities, I came to understand how the human mind works, both conscious and unconscious, our nervous system, the role emotions play, and the incredibly determining influence early childhood has on personality development.

Today, I am a certified therapist in the Compassionate Inquiry approach and the founder of the educational platform Body Mind Unity. I lead retreats and workshops, write and speak about mental health, and have organized several international conferences on trauma and psychosomatics. I believe that healing is not a destination we must race to reach, but a conscious journey and the ability to be present in our own lives – with both the joy and the pain that belong to it.

I love connecting the seemingly incompatible: rational thinking and experiencing emotions, business and compassion, depth and lightness, science and intuition. My goal is to be a support for my clients and to spread the awareness that change is possible, that it is possible to find inner peace, your authentic self, and live a healthier, freer, and more conscious life.

Do you want to follow me?
I would be glad.

How People Describe Therapy and Cooperation With Me

{

I turned to Markéta with serious problems – an eating disorder, depression, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts. I didn’t even think it would be possible, but she taught me to handle myself in unbearable moments, to be kind to myself, to accept myself, to create safety. I learned that it is normal to experience negative emotions, to rage, to cry, to feel pain. But also that I deserve to be happy… Markéta is completely professional yet human, funny, we often laugh. Today I eat whatever I want, the panic attacks are gone. Life is suddenly magical and increasingly a blast!

After the death of my parents, when I felt terrible and guilty, therapy with Markéta uncovered a lot of things I carry from childhood from my relationship with my mom. Why I am so sensitive to some things, why I am so strict with myself. Now I can work better with my emotions, I can have joy in life, be positive, and mainly not worry unnecessarily.

I had the opportunity to experience Markéta’s workshop at AB-InBev at a time when I was facing great work pressure. It was a turning point for me. Not only did it remind me that knowing one’s boundaries is a strength, but most importantly, I gained practical tools for stress regulation and immediate calming of the nervous system. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to consciously work with their energy and prevent burnout.

We used Ms. Černoušková’s services at WPP Media for our employees at the beginning of the Russian aggression in Ukraine. It was a highly stressful period, so we greatly appreciated the guidance and advice on how to stand firm in this complex situation. Mrs. Černoušková led two workshops for us, attended by several dozen of our employees. Both workshops were highly valued by our employees.

What I found most valuable were the specific personal realizations and “aha” moments that inspired me and gave me the sense that my journey toward freeing myself from unhelpful beliefs is meaningful.

It was also powerful for me to reevaluate my own emotions – especially the anger and rage I had experienced in the past (especially last year) and often blamed myself for. I realized that they have their justification and even carry a certain nobility within them. The realization that I have a right to them and that shame only increases the burden on my nervous system was very liberating for me. It was also very important for me to realize that trauma often arises within a relationship and that it is precisely within a relationship – if it is safe, compassionate, and kind – that healing can take place. …

I would like to express my deep gratitude for your work and for bringing these important topics to the public in a clear and compassionate way.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I look forward to the next retreat.

I reached out to Markéta in one of the hardest moments of my life. I didn’t know how to go on, I was afraid I wouldn’t handle another day. I was thrilled with the speed at which therapy brought change. We didn’t delay with interpretations of stories, but worked straight with the body, and it showed what it was ready to let go of on its own. I felt safe with Markéta and perceived her genuine interest. Compassionate Inquiry therapy was a turning point when I started taking responsibility for my life and freeing myself from old programs. Markéta was an amazing guide for me!

Markéta once told me a sentence that absolutely hit me: “The tablet or occasional watching of cartoons while eating doesn’t hurt your son, but it hurts him when mommy is angry at him.” I realized how much it hurt me in childhood when my parents were angry at me. And how I thought I was stupid, and that’s why they were angry. Since then, we have an agreement at home: one meal is eaten with cartoons and the second meal is without cartoons. And it works! I promised myself I wouldn’t be angry at my son. And as soon as a conflict comes that puts me into emotional overload, I try to stop first, breathe, and react consciously, not from an old wound. Thank you, Markéta, for opening my eyes!

Ms. Černoušková held a crisis intervention at our company after one of our favorite colleagues passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. The session with her helped me a lot to understand that the feelings we all had – fear, sadness, but also anger and guilt (that we let him work so much) – are normal and that we are allowed to have them. We also realized, including the management, that we must pay attention to work-life balance

For a long time, I struggled with unpleasant feelings, trying to run away from them, and with confusion in my personal life. Professionally, I was exhausting myself with pressure to perform. I thought that what I was experiencing and how I was behaving was just how it is and must remain. But thanks to Markéta, I found out it doesn’t have to be that way. I am learning to experience and understand my emotions and needs, their causes, and ways I can work on myself. All this in a pleasant environment full of trust and understanding. I am grateful that Markéta introduced me to the approach of Dr. Gabor Maté. I am not afraid to say she changed my life for the better.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

What is the difference between classic psychotherapy and your approach?

My approach is more focused on the present moment and experiencing emotions in the body (somatic approach). We don’t just analyze the past intellectually; we work with how the past manifests in the nervous system and psyche here and now. It is very present and alive work that often brings relief faster than years of classical analysis.

Is therapy suitable even if I don’t have an explicit mental disorder or "major trauma"?

Yes. If you feel “stuck” or in a loop, are dissatisfied, have lost meaning or joy in life, are chronically tired, believe you have “failed,” that you are “not good enough,” etc., then these are all valid topics people turn to me with. You don’t need to have “heavy trauma” or a diagnostic “label” to benefit from this work. If you keep hitting the same walls in life, therapy can help you find a door.

Will this finally help me? Won't it be wasted money?

I know the feeling – you’ve tried so many therapies, read dozens of books, heard all the podcasts, and still no change… Compassionate Inquiry is a truly exceptionally effective approach (though not omnipotent). We go deep into the subconscious, to the functioning of our mind and nervous system, to beliefs, adaptations, and dynamics that originated during the development of our personality from early childhood. If you are willing to open up, take this deep dive, and don’t expect miracles after a few sessions, we can achieve a great deal together. Like Gabor Maté, I believe everyone has a healthy and authentic self within them. On the other hand, it is true that even this approach is not universal and is not for everyone.

Does working with emotions and psychosomatics fit into hard business?

Absolutely, because the capacity for performance relies on our emotional well-being, a sense of safety, i.e., on our neurobiology (the state of our nervous system). If a team or leader is in chronic stress (fight/flight), the prefrontal cortex shuts down and efficiency drops. My workshops are not theoretical talk; I don’t give general manuals, but practical neuro-optimization training. We work with your “hardware” (the nervous system) to achieve sustainable performance and prevent burnout.

Do we have to share personal sensitive issues at a corporate workshop?

No, safety and confidentiality come first. I lead workshops in an interactive and playful way (gamification). The goal is for team members to understand their stress response and learn to regulate it. Only those who feel an authentic impulse share. We build an environment of trust and psychological safety, not forced group therapy.

Do you work online?

Yes, a large part of my clientele is online. Thanks to specific attention guidance, working via a screen is surprisingly deep and effective.

I am stuck and broken, I am a hopeless case, can I be helped?

No one is a hopeless case. beneath the surface of built-up defenses and adaptations, we each have our healthy, authentic self. Everyone has the potential to access it.

If you are interested in something that wasn’t mentioned here, you can reach out – I’m happy to answer.
